This was straight from the very widely used Events Manager plugin without doing any tailoring of the layout or styles.

However this plugin is not currently installed, as we have instead used a simple bespoke custom post type for events.

For our Monthly meetings “booking” means “please reserve a seat” as our meeting hall only holds 72 seated.
